It is moving toward a more balanced market. There is still some advantage for sellers, especially for homes that are well-priced, in desirable locations, or in good condition. However, with an increase in inventory hitting the market, buyers are getting more negotiating power than they had a couple of years ago.

What can a home seller do to increase the value of their property, without spending a lot of money?

They can boost the curb appeal of their home with paint, landscaping, and lighting, and declutter and freshen interiors with neutral paint and better lighting. Also, they can update kitchens and baths with inexpensive swaps like hardware or faucets, and finally, they should take care of all minor repairs. These simple steps can help improve the look of a property.

We have a beautiful, scenic lake and mountain setting with year-round outdoor recreation. The area has a vibrant arts culture, great cuisine, and colorful history, plus a strong school system, ample healthcare, and a wonderful sense of community.
