A Can't Miss To Do When Visiting Chicago

Our oldest son’s college graduation brought us to Chicago for the week, and with family ranging in age from 11 to 82 coming in from the East and West Coasts, we decided we’d do something that everyone would enjoy. The Lake and Architectural tour on the Seadog was the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
We started with a nice run around the lake. The Seadog is not your average tour boat; speed and performance are at the heart of its reputation, and that can be a little intimidating to start. However, once we were on our way, it was evident that everyone in our party would enjoy the perfect mix of thrill ride and slow cruising and the opportunity to take in all that the Chicago skyline has to offer.
Bill, our guide, was entertaining, informative, and generous in providing little-known facts throughout the tour. The sites were amazing! Going through the locks and down the Chicago River is breathtaking. The buildings were spectacular—Willis Tower, the Chicago Exchange, the old Marshall Field and Company building. One building was so large that it housed the booming Chicago catalog business at one time, requiring its own zip code.
A visit to Chicago is filled with incredible restaurants, museums, and shopping. Now add an architectural tour to your list of things to do, with a little thrill on one of the Seadog boats operating from the Navy Pier. You won’t be disappointed, and tell Bill we sent you!
