Phoenix Books in Burlington announces move to the Church Street Marketplace!
06/25/2024 12:09PM ● By Phoenix BooksPhoenix Books in Burlington is moving to Church Street this summer. Phoenix Books, a beloved Burlington institution, was founded in 2012 on a community-supported model. Now, owners Renée Reiner and Michael DeSanto are thrilled to announce that they’ve secured a spectacular new location in the heart of the Church Street Marketplace.
Phoenix Books will rise at 89 Church Street, in the historic Howard Opera House at the end of August 2024. The redesigned and reimagined storefront will house our thriving bookstore and, to honor the building’s history, an event space to host readings, concerts, and theatrical performances. Our in-house publishing company, Onion River Press, will be located on-site and will also use the beautiful performance space for seminars, classes, and readings.
Customers and community members will find a curated selection of books and gifts, and of course, the dedicated booksellers who've served Burlington's reading public for the past twelve years. Phoenix Books is still operating at the Bank Street location during the renovations.
